Goodbye Thailand....Hello Australia....

After a very relaxing time in Koh Chang we took the taxi, ferry and bus back to Bangkok, it was chaos as it always is using thai transport they put the bags on the bus only to take them off again to put some back on again saying the bus was going to various locations depending on who asked, in the midday heat when you've been waiting 3 hours for it to arrive it's great fun!!!

We finally made it to the bus station in Bangkok and hilariously instead of pulling into the bus station they drove straight past and pulled up on the side of the busiest street with 6 lanes of traffic rushing by - I'm not sure they've heard of Health & Safety out here :) We then hailed a taxi and after getting a bit lost (he had to call the hotel for directions) we were dropped off at our hotel which for the bargain price we got it for on-line was really nice!

Sorry think we must've got tired of taking pictures by now as there aren't many but I can confirm we did use the gym (honest!) and we ventured out for a our last meal which by the time we went out the only place on foot we could find that was still open (apart from Mc Donalds) was a Pizza Hut in a Tesco Mall (they get everywhere!!) Just to reply to a previous comment from Stuart 'no we didn't make it to the ping pong shows!' :)

Then if was off to bed ready for our flight to AUSTRALIA - safe to say I was a little bit excited!!

oh and yes the novelty of carrying our rucksacks are over............

Finally found somewhere to have my last Pad Thai and Singha....

oh and a doughnut or 4....

After a good flight with British Airways we arrived in SYDNEY EKE!! It was early morning so we had a whole day to try and stay awake to avoid jet lag, so obviously we headed straight for a Star Bucks...

Message for Campbell check out the sign behind me :)

Then it is was off for some sight seeing, after 10 years away it was good to see the Harbour & Opera House again - they hadn't aged a bit- shame couldn't say the same about myself!

Check this massive tree out in the Botanical Gardens...

Looks like all this excitement was just too much for one person...

Amazing what a power nap can do....

After another sleep in Hyde Park oh and a read of Heat magazine (I had some serious catching up to do in the world of show biz...) we went to Darling Harbour which was just amazing at night....

Then it was on the train and off to stay with Dan's mum's best friend & husband Alex and Andy...

The sun came out so in typical pommie style we got out in the garden, safe to say in typical Aussie style Alex and Andy stayed in the shade....

A sight never been seen or captured on camera before.... Dan reading a book!

After a day in the sun it was off to the local watering hole to meet up with Andy's family and the locals....

Here's Dan with Alex his Australian mum :)

Andy and his son Jake...

Les and Eileen....

Oh dear they sell Jim Beam by the bottle....

Then it was back to Andy's Bar for some more 'home brew'....

Too many home brews??

Next morning it was off to check out the surf....unfortunately Danny couldn't fit his board in his backpack!
